No notes, no studio – My First Album

I became a lyricist and composer, and at the same time, I handled the entire music creation and post-production process. That’s how my own music album, consisting of five songs, came to life.

As strange as it might sound coming from someone who works with graphic design in every possible form – yes, I became part of the world of audio… with the help of artificial intelligence.

Until now, sound was just a background to my visuals – music in the background, sound effects, which I used from licensed platforms. Now, I can create them myself.

Note!

This post contains elements of auditory illusion and demonstrates the possibilities of artificial intelligence. The content has an educational character and presents the potential for audio creation in a real-world environment (with a slight wink).

In this post, I want to present to you 5 songs that I created on the platform suno.com. This tool allows for quick and intuitive music creation – from the basic tracks to complete songs with lyrics in various languages. You can use existing lyrics, notes, or create your own. The range of possibilities is huge, all thanks to the rapidly developing AI technology.

The album is dedicated to Poland – the country where I live. I wanted each song to be different and reflect the spirit of a given region, culture, history, or even dialect.

Song Descriptions:

  1. Magical Kraków
A song telling the story of Kraków in Polish hip-hop style. The lyrics are in Polish and highlight the historic charm of the city. It features a duet of a female and male vocalist.

  2. Zakopane
A song about Zakopane, blending a solo vocal with a choir background. It features violins, capturing the atmosphere of a traditional mountain concert.

  3. Kaszuby
A region with a unique culture and language. This song highlights the charm of the coastal climate with lyrics in the Kaszubian language. A vocal duet (male and female) sings in a shanty style, with a noticeable rhythm and bass.

  4. Hajerowo Krew
The story of a young man whose life – like his father’s and grandfather’s – is connected to the mining profession in Silesia. The lyrics capture the atmosphere of the region, and the whole piece honors one of Poland’s toughest professions.

  5. Niepołomice
This song is particularly close to my heart. Though inspired by an original text, it has a completely new style – a mix of pop and rock. The lyrics are in English. Niepołomice is a 14th-century city near Kraków that is rapidly developing.

On the website, you can:

  • listen to the songs,

  • read the live lyrics (karaoke),

  • view the full lyrics (clicking the music note icon),

  • read a brief song description (the „i” icon).

Creating this playlist was something new and very enjoyable for me, so I am already planning two more albums.

„The image was generated in Midjourney with the prompt:

„a bearded man wearing large over-ear headphones, intently looking at a computer monitor while creating music, atmospheric lighting, cozy studio environment, oil painting style, visible brush strokes, rich textures, warm tones, dramatic light and shadow interplay, expressive composition –ar 16:9 –v 5 –style Raw”

Generally, I won’t be posting ready-made prompts, as each of us needs to develop their own style of generation. This is purely informational.”

Reflection:

Today, not taking advantage of new technologies is like consciously turning away from possibilities. But you need to know the limits – to understand what we can do and what we can’t.

Important info:
Many people involved in the “AI sea” don’t realize that we’ve already crossed a certain line. This is also the case with the platform Suno – if we’re not subscribers, we have limited rights. For example, we can’t sell the tracks, even if we’re the authors. When creating with AI assistance, we are the authors, but every platform has its own terms of use. I encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with them, especially if someone treats it as a potential career path.

The selected graphics illustrate my skills in transforming and influencing audiovisual perception of a person, object, or landscape – both based on the original background and with the help of AI. The effects are subjective and tied to a specific time frame. Each of us perceives the world differently and has different capabilities. The cyclical posts with thematic projects serve as a systematic documentation of these capabilities.
